Rod hangers - depth adjustability

our closet is 19 inches deep. Rod hangers at 10 inches won't work. Is there a rod hanger bracket that can accommodate rod hangers at different depths?

Question

How do you stabilize a rod with the configurations system?

The system is great except that unless the clothes are perfectly balanced the rod tips. Is there some sort of mechanism available to go over the top of the rod, locking it in place?

The Clothes Rod will snap into the Clothes Rod Hangers to hold it in place. The rod should be snapped securely into the hangers, otherwise the clothes rod can tip or fall.

The hangers should be placed wherever the rod crosses a shelf bracket, which is approximately every 22". Please note that the weight of the hanging items should be distributed throughout the length of the clothes rod and not grouped all at one end.

Question

Do the Rod Support Hangers come in any other lengths than the 3M92 size? These are too short to allow for putting hangers on rods without tilting.

Not sure what you're talking about, my hanger fit on the rod just fine, without any type of tilting needed. Are you using standard hangers? Look at the Add On Hanger Kit on this site and see what the rod hangers look like with standard cloth hangers on them. http://www.rubbermaid.com/Category/Pages/ProductDetail.aspx?CatName=ClosetShelving&SubcatId=HomeFreeClosetKits&Prod_ID=RP091896

Question

Do your rod hangers hang in the opposite direction?

For HomeFree series closed organizers. I purchased the 3-6 ft. closet kit at Lowes. My closet is only 4ft. x 19 in. and the rod hangs out beyond the shelf brackets, putting hanging clothes up against the closet door. If the hangers hung toward the inside of the closet, this would not be a problem

I Agree,

A simple modification on the hanger arm would allow for the rod holder to be turned inward, freeing up some space in the closet.

I agree - this should be an option. I installed my HomeFree closet organizer in an RV and the clothes interfere with the sliding door. If the hooks turned around the clothes would be up against the wall and the doors wouldn't get hung up as badly.

Our rod hangers only hang in one direction as there are specific hole locations in the underside of the bracket that they fit into and can not be turned the opposite direction.
