Yes, Flex Totes can be folded up to take up minimal space when not in use. They are also folded when they are shipped and bought in store.

I use these totes in my house for blankets comforter table clothes etc. and I also use them in my RV Camper to store the same to keep them fresh and dust free.

Because of their flexible shape, Flex Totes are great in tight spaces, such as under beds or in closets. The built-in handles also make them easy to transport so you can take them with you. They make great trunk organizers and are perfect for car trips.

Question

What are Flex Totes made of?

I'm having some trouble with moths and I need to pack all my woolens away with moth balls. The package of moth balls (pardichlorobenzene) says to "Avoid direct contact with plastic vinyl". So I need to know if Flex Totes are vinyl or not so I can know if they are suitable for my purpose or not. Thank you.

The box does not say what material it's made of but on the tote itself, it says keep 'plastic' out of reach... So, I guess that's what it is. I hope that helps.

yes they are plastic vinyl. I beleive if you used these totes you would not need your moth balls.

The Flex Totes are made of PEVA, which is similar to vinyl but does not contain chlorine.

I wouldn't imagine it is very much because it didn't stand up to having my son's clothes in it and then transporting them home from school. I reckon it should only be used for storage of blankets, comforters, etc. and not moved too much while full.

The #1K50 Small Flex Tote has a maximum weight capacity of 20 pounds. The #1K51 Medium and #1K52 Large Flex Totes have a maximum weight capacity of 40 pounds.

Please note that the weight of the stored items should be distributed evenly.

Yes you can fold the ones you are not using and store inside another if you want. I do that I have one med size tote and have all my others inside it for easy storing and access.

Yes, three Small Flex Totes can fit inside an 18 gallon Roughneck container, an 18 gallon CleverStore container or a 71 quart CleverStore clear container. Two Medium Flex Totes can fit inside a 36 gallon CleverStore container.
