Could you do this combination sandwich container, medium blue ice, sandwich container, medium blue ice?
Could you have the sandwich container on the bottom put medium blue ice on top and then put another sandwich container on top of the medium blue ice and then have another medium blue ice on the very top?
Yes, the Sandwich Containers and Medium Blue Ice can be stacked, alternating between the two (Sandwich Container, Blue Ice, Sandwich Container, Blue Ice, etc...)
Can side container snap into space where 2 snack containers go on the LunchBlox blue ice?
On the Medium LunchBlox blue ice I see there is a space where you would put a side dish container on top but what if you wanted to put two side dish containers on top. Could you put the other side dish container on top of the two spaces that were made for the snack containers?
Do containers of the same size nest for compact storage?
Since 3 of us in my family take lunch every day, we would need many containers. If the empty containers nested they would require a lot less cabinet space.
I have the Lunchbox sandwich containers. After hand washing them in very hot water they have the most unpleasant smell (like a BO smell). Is the plastic breaking down or leaching?
I've had my lunchblox sandwich containers for a long time and have never had this issue. It may just be how they're drying or it could actually be your water. But if you're concerned it's always safer to get a new one, if anything just to ease your mind

The containers can absorb odors from the foods that are stored in them. We suggest washing them with baking soda sprinkled on a clean damp sponge. For even tougher odors, soak the items in a solution of 4 tablespoons baking soda and 1 quart warm water.
Yes it fits the rubbermade 5qt cooler, there is also enough room to put one extra large and small lunchbox into the cooler. It will also fit into the Coleman 5qt cooler, and the Igloo cooler, but I don't recommend the Igloo cooler since the lid is not 1. insulated, and 2. your Items can shift around. (I have all three, I was trying to find the better of the three)

Dimensions are provided for the LunchBlox items that you can use to determine if they will fit inside your cooler.
The Sandwich Kit (which will have the Blue Ice included) measures 4.81" l x 5.625" w x 5.25" h.
It depends on the outside temp. I plan on doing some testing on this this summer since I keep Mine In my car. I have been trying to find another Ice chess to place my 5qt cooler into to give it more insulation. It is weird that I have found the company's do not think the consumers would like to actually keep our food cool and only provide air as insulation or design something like a 5qt cooler that will fit into the next size up cooler for more insulation. I normally keep my coat over the cooler to keep the sun off the cooler.

Thank you for contacting Rubbermaid regarding the Blue Ice products. All of Rubbermaid’s Blue Ice products last up to 25% longer than ice and are available in a variety of sizes to meet consumer needs.
I think he'd be fine. The lids come off fine and hold the perfect amount for kids. Just don't fill it with anything liquid. lol I wouldn't do that with my 9yo either. That'd be a mess waiting to happen. =)

Yes! My Kindergartener loves this set. She enjoys choosing which foods will go in which box. They also snap together like play blocks, so that makes it fun for the little ones too. The ice pack is hard/fitted so it's not one that a child could pop, like other character-shaped ones I have seen, for example. My kindergartener feels like a "big kid" when she gets to bring her lunch WITH an ice pack ;-)

Yes. I think that would be fine. Show him how to hold the bottom while unsnapping the top (so nothing pops out if he opens upside down or something and he should be ok!

My toddler plays with them and doesn't seem to have any issue. Taking them apart isn't usually difficult, though sometimes putting them together is a little trickier. I think that the modular system helps them to see if there are any pieces missing, too.

Question
Can you buy the dressing container seperately or do you sell another 2 oz or less container?
The dressing container is not sold separately. The smallest LunchBlox container we offer is the snack pack which are 0.5 cups and are sold in a 2-pack.
My husband straps his current lunchbox onto his bicycle for transport. He likes the Lunch Blox containers that I've bought but they don't fit easily in his current lunchbox. He wants the sides of any lunchbox he uses to be rigid so that he don't deform the containers inside.
An entree will hold a sandwich and a half. I use the different sizes to hold everything from cut veggies to cheese to cold cuts and left overs. I use the small snack containers to package 1/2 sandwiches for small children, portion out chips, crackers, species in my space cupboard, yogurt and cottage cheese. The sizes are great for cutting grocery bills down.

Yes the entree will hold sandwiches. I use my sandwich container for other foods, not just sandwiches.
Certainly it would hold as sandwich as well as other food items.

It will hold a PB&J just fine, or if you are like me and make thick sandwiches, there is plenty of room to stack your sandwich high. It also fits the wider breads as well. It is 2.6 Cups, so you could use it to bring other leftovers in or whatever you want, it is just like a regular storage container.

Question
Blue dots coming back in stock in the Medium bag?
I had a hard time choosing between these colors because neither are very exciting to me, but when I decided on blue dots, realized that is not even an option to purchase.
The large holds the entree set and the small holds the sandwich set

I am trying to determine if this will work in a child's lunch box (with the drink etc etc). What is the height with the lid closed of the sandwich container.
