To remove the wall anchors, brackets and back clips grab the circular head of the drive pin with a pair of pliers and turn one-half turn. Release hold of the drive pin, grab the drive pin again pull pin straight out toward you. This procedure will deactivate the molly hardware piece and can easily be removed from the wall.

Our installation hardware is designed for 1/2" drywall only. If you're drywall is thicker, you would need to purchase separate hardware for the 3/8" drywall.

Question

Can I remove the shelves but leave in wall studs to paint my closet?

I want to paint my walk-in closet, but I don't want to remove all the shelving hardware. I'm wondering if the shelves 'pop out'? When I bought the home the shelves were already installed, so I'm not sure how they work!

The shelving can be removed from the back clip by popping open the "tab" that covers the drive pin and helps keep the shelf in place.
