Questions & Answers for FastTrack Garage Hardware Pack

Question

Anchors for hardware pack

I am going to install the FastTrack system in my garage. Looks very simple to setup. My question is related to the hardware pack. How come it only comes with 4 anchors but there 11 screws? Don't I need an anchor for each screw that I am using to mount the FastTrack rail?

Use the screws alone (top and bottom of rail) at the studs. The anchors are used between the studs at the top of rail.

This is late but you only need to use the anchors for the areas where the screws don't go into studs.

answer 3
The Fast Track Rail is recommeded to be installed into studs. The 48" rail must hit 4 studs and the 84" rail must hit 6 studs. You can not use an anchor into a stud, only a screw. In between the studs is were you will use an anchor and a screw. If installing a 48" rail you will need one hardware pack, if installing an 84" rail you will need two hardware packs.

This system has not been tested for installation on concrete and weight limitations are not available. For installation, we suggest using lead-type anchors designed for use in concrete and #10 screws. On the rails please install every 8" along the top and every 16" on the bottom, staggered from the top screws.

Please note this is for installation on concrete walls only and weight limits are not available.
