It's a mop not a duster or sweeper. You still have to sweep or else that will happen. Also frequently wash the microfiber pad in the laundry to keep it clean and it will absorb more.

We have found that if the mop pad is not wet enough, it may push the dirt particles around rather than pick them up. Also, large pieces of dirt may be too large for the pad to pick them up.

The red mopping pad that comes with the mop is designed to be used when wet; we offer a dry dusting pad which will collect dust and dirt without needing to be wet prior to mopping.

Your sprayer is not the problem - it is the product you are putting in it! You will have better results if you empty and rinse after each use if you are using full strength cleaning solutions :)

When the mop stops spraying we ask that you try flushing the mop to remove any possible clogs; this can be done by filling the bottle with hot water, inserting back into the mop, and pulling the trigger several times to unclog.

If this does not fix the issue, please contact us at 888-895-2110 Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm ET.

I found that with the reveal mop I have owned for 6 months now, what helps is I need to run warm water through the sprayer with a full bottle of just straight water inbetween cleanings. I need to rinse the Mr.Clean floor cleaner off my floor anyway. Also I found that I can't use Orange Glo Hardwood floor cleaners in the spray bottle because that brand floor cleaner tends to dry up and harden inside the spray nozzle as it does even inside the bottle cap it comes in. So I have to recommend applying that and any wood floor cleaner directly on the surface as Orange Glo recommends to spray or squirt it on the wood floor anyway.

Question

Delay with the spray?

When I first started using the mop, I could spray as much as I want. On the third or fourth use, after every spray, I have to wait a few seconds for a "click" before I can spray again. Is this normal or do I have a defective product! Thank you in advance.

The Reveal Mop trigger should only require an easy pulling motion to spray, similar to a spray bottle. If the trigger appears to be sticking or doesn't allow you to spray more than once, please contact our Consumer Service Department at 888-895-2110 Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm ET.

Please note that we have found that the trigger can be delayed if the mop is clogged or if a heavy, waxy cleaner is being used. To flush the mop, fill the bottle with hot water only and pull the trigger several times to unclog.

My suggestion is messy but should work. Take the entire mop outside or put it in the bathtub. Twist the bottle off the cap. Sounds like there's too much pressure in the bottle. The whole thing should come out then.

It is your preference as to how frequently you wish to wash your microfiber pad, as there is not a recommendation as to how often it needs to be washed. This will all depend on how dirty the surface is that you may be cleaning. The microfiber pad is durable enough to last 100 cycles in a standard washing machine though. Do not use any type of bleach or fabric softener when laundering the pad.

Question

Where is the date code on a new reveal mop?

I just purchased a reveal mop yesterday at Walmart. Seemed like a decent idea for a mop. Today I read the reviews...I just returned a different worthless mop to walmart and purchased this one. How do I know if I have the "Improved" Reveal mop that was written about on some of the review responses or the "bad" mop customers were complaining about. Would like to know before my 30 day return expires.

We have implemented changes to the design of the Reveal Spray Mop to optimize our product. We continue to monitor any mop that may not be performing properly by tracking the date code on the mop; however, the particular date is no indication as to whether or not the product will perform properly.

The blue foam ring found between the bottle and the reservoir that the bottle snaps into is packaging; this blue foam ring should be thrown away.

Please note that this is not the same ring found at the tip of the mop bottle; this black ring should not be removed from the red bottle cap.

Hello neighbor. I am thinking you mean they water does not come through. I never had that issue but maybe putting hot water in it and letting it soak some. This may help. You could put the whole end in in a bucket of hot water. Not sure what to do if the handle does not pump, could be a defect, contact customer service and see what they say. Rubbermaid is awesome with helping you.

We do apologize that you are having trouble with your Reveal Mop. Some tricks for use:

1. Fill the bottle with hot water. Run the red tip of the bottle under hot water for up to a minute before inserting into the mop.

2. Once the bottle has been clicked into the mop, you may need to "prime" the mop by pulling the trigger 5-10 times to pump the solution through to clear any clog that may be present.

If you feel your Rubbermaid item is defective and failed shortly after purchase, we ask that you contact our Consumer Services Department toll free at 888-895-2110, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST, M-F.
