Questions & Answers for 4' Top Rail

Question

HomeFree 4' Rail

I have a 67" space that I'd like to use the HomeFree system on. Can I put two of these rails together and adjust to the appropriate width? I only see them sold as one 4' rail.

The 4' Top Rails are designed to be overlapped to make longer rails; two 4' Rails could be overlapped to make the needed 67" width. Attached is more information on the installation and overlapping of the rails.

Question

Does the top rail come in black?

I can get black uprights and brackets but haven't found a black top rail. Do they exist? If not, why? Many people use these systems other than in closets.

Question

I see to top track can be cut but can you also cut the wireshelving to size if it does not exactly conform to standard sizes?

In older houses standard sizes don't seem to fit your system. With some cutting of the track ad shelving it will be more effective. Can this be done with a hacksaw and is that what the caps you sell are for (the ends)?

The HomeFree and Configurations systems are not intended to be cut. These were designed so that the hangrail can be overlapped to make longer if necessary.

Question

Can I trim the 4' Top Rail to fit in a smaller space?

My closet is only 30" wide, but I want to use this product to hang 3 linen shelves. If I can't trim the top rail, what would be a good alternative?

The Homefree hangrail can be cut down to size if needed. This hangrail is intended for use with the Homefree shelving and brackets.

For Linen, Wardrobe, FreeSlide, and Tightmesh Shelving, either the Direct Mount or FastTrack Closet systems should be used.
