Question
Why can I not suck on the flip up extension connected to the straw to get a drink?
I either have to loosen the lid so that air can enter the bottle, or just take the lid off. Am I supposed to remove the little white stopper in the lid? If so, does that not remove the seal? The bottle works great, perfect size, love the little finger handle, etc., but we have had to resort to removing the lid to drink.

Answer this Question
answer 1
Take a pin and punch tons of holes in the stopper. I actually took small sewing scissors and punched several holes and the stopper still worked and it helped.

answer 2
remove that little plug and throw it away. That's what I did and yes, if you turn the bottle upside down it will leak so don't turn it upside down.

I had the same problem where I could not sip through the top flip up spout. I took the flip up spout off and re-seeded the flip spout and popped it back down securely. Works great now, except for the plastic straw will not stay connected to the lid. As I screw the lid on the straw falls off every time. I have given up on putting any type of ice in the bottle the straw will NEVER stay on then! As teh lid screws on the straw rotates around with the lid and the ice loosens the straw and it falls out. Very poor design, it is like the bottle was never tested with any fluid or liquid with ice. MAJOR FLAW with the design!!
I was hoping to find a solution to fixing the straw on this web site.

To restore proper air intake, remove the bottle lid and apply pressure to the valve button, separating the halves.
Note: the flip straw on the lid does need to be completely opened to allow for proper suction. The straw should be flipped opened so that it is resting on the edge of the lid.
