It is not suggested to pour boiling water into any beverage container or pitcher. The heat can cause the plastic to soften and possibly collapse, resulting in injury. We do not advise the use of boiling water in our containers.

Question

The carafe's pouring sprout no longer stays open while pouring.

We have had the carafe for a few months. We only use it for cold liquids (non-dairy creamer). Recently, the pouring sprout closes while pouring the liquid. How do we correct this?

The caps that cover the pour spouts can become more pliable through use and can loosen to where they won't stay open during use. Product assistance is available by calling our Consumer Service Department at 888-895-2110 Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm ET.

We do not recommend freezing the Carafe, but the materials used are freezer safe. Please be sure to inspect it for cracks caused by the expansion of water during the freezing process to insure the Carafe's structural integrity is maintained.

What is the maximum safe temperature of liquid that can be poured into the carafe?

Another guest asked about boiling water and a negative response was given. I would like to pour hot, fresh-brewed coffee into the carafe to cool and use as iced coffee. What is the maximum temperature that the item can handle without deterioration or hazard?

The carafe is safe to use for temperatures up to 212 degrees F.

I see that the bottle is BPA free. However, from the information given I cannot tell if it is BPS (bisphenol-s) free as well.

Can I get a replacement cap for the carafe lid?

I dropped the carafe and one of the flip caps broke. It is now squared off (three pieces broke off) and it is pointed and sharp.
