This item is designed to work on a shelf that is at least 1/2" thick (up to 7/8" thick). Typically, a wire shelf would not be the required minimum thickness.

While this product has not been tested for a maximum weight load capacity, our other pantry drawer items have weight limits of 5-10 pounds (evenly distributed). Please note that this product is not permanently attached to the shelf so please use caution when pulling forward.
