When are these lids going to be available ?
I bought this trash can about 10 years ago, It's the best trash can I have ever owned, can't bring myself to throw it away. however the lid was lost or stolen, How can I get another lid for this trashcan without having to buy a 4 pack?

Rubbermaid does not regret ENOUGH that they are unable to offer replacement parts. Apparently the needs of the consumer are unimportant. I suspect Rubbermaid figures they can get us to buy a whole new container when we get tired enough of having our garbage rained on.
I guess I will buy a new container, but this time I will do my research first and I will buy a brand that offers replacement lids. It's too bad, because this really is a great trash can in all other respects.

I too am looking for a new lid. It appears that replacement parts for this item are not available from Rubbermaid, which is inexcuseable. When they are so flimzy and the winds are so strong, it seems like they could make a lot of money offering the lids for sale.

Lids for the 1345 refuse can are not available for direct order and are not offered by retail stores. We regret any inconvenience this may cause, but we do not offer replacement lids for this model.

I have 2 cans with broken handles, and I see other people with the same problem just down the street from me.

The handle on my can was defective from the start, but I kept hammering it back on. Now the wheels are always coming off. Rubbermaid says it has no replacement parts for handles or lids. What a shame. We should all stop buying this product. It was not cheap.

We do not sell replacement handles for our trash cans and have no plans to sell them separately. These handles are only installed during the manufacturing process.

Your local True Value Home Center. But think carefully before buying it. The handle, and the wheels tend to come off, and you cannot buy replacement parts - especially for the lid.

Why not offer beige instead of only dark colors?
I have three older Rubbermaid trash cans I would like to replace. It troubles me that the reviews of the 32-gallon wheeled cans are so poor. Yikes! Why are all the colors offered so dark: Black, dark green. etc? Would like to buy several new beige models. The quality and color palette both need HELP!

To replace the wheels, secure one wheel onto the axle with the end cap. Thread the axle through the openings on the bottom of the container, then attach the second wheel and end cap. Secure the end caps using a rubber mallet.
