What garbage bags for Rubbermaid 2848

I have a Rubbermaid 2848 Slim Fit step-on garbage can that I bought probably 15 years ago. I've never been able to figure out exactly which garbage bags to use; the ones I buy always seem to be too large or too small. What are the dimensions of the proper garbage bags to use for this container?

We would suggest using the 13 gallon size trash cans for this model can.

Lid on 2848 Does Not Stay Open?

Both the #2841 and #2848 are shown on this page, with the text "Innovative step-on mechanism allows lid to stay open for foot-free operation or swing closed like traditional step cans." I have had the 2841, and like it. I just bought the 2848 and it DOES NOT have the same mechanism. The lid only stays open while your foot is on the pedal. I have studied both mechanismas and they appear different. Am I missing something here?

The #2848 Slim Fit Waste Can lid will close if your foot is removed from the pedal. To keep the lid in an open position, the lid can be lifted with your hand; when doing this, the lid would need to be closed by hand as well.

Color?

Is the White actually more of an ivory color? I bought a Rubbermaid can like this at Home Depot, but it is softer than bright white; almost pearlized.

Step open and step close?

Hi, From the description and reviews, it appears that this item stays open when you step on the foot pedal. Does it also close when you step on it again? I've had 2 of these that have both broken at the foot pedal, but I love the feature, so I'm back looking for another
