As far as I have ever seen them in is white,but the handle covers vary in color.

The Hip-Hugger Basket is available in white or aquamarine. These colors can be viewed under the "product specifications" tab on the product information page of the item.

It is suggested to contact your local recycling company for assistance with unmarked products; some companies will not accept a product without this code.

The basket is made of # 2 High Density Polyethylene plastic.

What is the outside DEPTH of this model?

We are bldg our cottage, and the only place to put a laundry basket is in our linen closet (for dirty laundry). The depth of the closet is 12". Would this basket fit in sideways?
