Can I install it so it is not over the door?

I don't want it to go over the door, just secured to the pantry door, is this possible?

You can install the item without using it over the door and just securing it to the door. Make sure that when installing into your door that the item is level.

Why was this product discontinued?

In reference to the over the door adjustable shelf for the pantry. Hoping for something similar from you!
