Question

How do Produce Savers work in the freezer?

Since the produce savers have a vent for air circulation, how can they work in the freezer? Wouldn't air get in there and then cause freezer burn?

I don't think you should use these in the freezer. The food in them will get too icy, because of the vents, if the food has a high moisture content. I might be wrong.

The Produce Savers are made of materials that are safe for freezer use. The bases of the Produce Savers are interchangeable with the lids for the Easy Find Lids and Lock-Its, which are also freezer safe.

These three product lines (Easy Find Lids, Lock-Its, and Produce Savers) are all freezer safe and can be used with each other.

One lid fits multiple bases. The lids and trays snap to the bases, and to each other. Cabinets stay neat and organized because the graduated container sizes stack neatly inside each other taking up less space in your cabinet.

The Produce Savers do not absorb ethylene gas generated by ripening fruits and vegetables. Different types of produce will create this gas, and others are sensitive to it. Keeping your produce in separate containers is suggested.

Rubbermaid usually discontinues a product due to declining sales. To be successful, retail stores must refresh their shelves and offer a product mix that will stimulate sales. Rubbermaid must continue to develop new products on a regular basis to meet store and consumer demands. This leads to the discontinuation of older products to make room for the manufacturing and warehousing of new products.
