This particular system is one of the most efficient systems to come on the market. The lids stack on top of each other and the bowls stack inside of each other and then snap onto the stack of lids. This makes it where there are only one or two stacks of your containers to take up space in the cabinet etc. I just love my set(s). I bought a starter set, then bought others as add-on storage. When they are not in use (hardly ever!) they are stacked neatly in my cabinet just waiting for leftovers.

One lid fits multiple bases. The lids snap to the bases, and to each other. Cabinets stay neat and organized because the graduated container sizes stack neatly inside each other taking up less space in your cabinet.

Question

Easy Find Containers

Are the Food Containers supposed to stain aor blister?
I heated (3 min) the container which had pasta and tomato sauce in it, in the microwave. The container retained a slight red discoloration.
Another time (same type of contents) the container blistered on the inside of the container and retained red discoloration.

I contacted the company on this and they stated that in some extreme cases, the contents may cause a surface stain. I finally quit using them to re-heat anything with red/tomato sauce in it if I didn't want it stained. Other than this small thing, I have been very pleased with my storage pieces.

The Easy Find food storage containers are not stain-resistant. If you use products with a lot of tomato sauce, we would recommend our Premier food storage containers.

For use and care information to prevent staining and blistering, please visit our support center by clicking on "view all support center pages" in the bottom left-hand corner of our website. Click on the icon "use and care instructions" and then click on Easy Find Lids.

no, please do not try it, sure you can get away with it depending on how long you are heating something even at the high setting. Eventually you will get in the habit and then cook something a bit too long. If it does not just distort the shape and make it worthless it will melt a hole in the lid and drip down on your food. Use a paper towl to cover the food but do not get in the habit of leaveing the lid on when microwaveing

stain resistant yes, stain proof no. If you try hard enough you will stain the plastic. reheating in plastic is different than cooking in plastic, cooking the food gets hotter and is more likely to stain. The glass, hey have a ball. Glass is really hard to find a way to stain that doesn't come off. And remember to remove the lids when heating in the microwave, they tend to melt so just cover with a paper towel

Everything I've heard is to crumple up some regular newspaper, put it in the container, seal it up and then let it sit for about a week. Either that or consider dedicating one container for just onions.

To remove odors, we suggest washing the item with baking soda sprinkled on a clean damp sponge. For even tougher odors, just soak the lid in a solution of 4 tablespoons baking soda and 1 quart warm water.

Also, newspaper can help remove odors by storing it inside a container with the lid on for a few days. Be sure the container is dry before placing the newspaper inside as the ink may run and to wash the container after newspaper is removed.
