Holding up to 68 cans plus ice, the 48 Qt Cooler has superior thermal retention to keep food and beverages cold. The cooler comes in two styles: smooth and ribbed. Two side swing handles with comfort grip make carrying easy. Stain and odor resistant, the cooler has an easy-to-clean liner in case unfortunate spills occur.

48qt Cooler Inside Dimensions?

Are the dimensions shown for the 48 qt cooler based on outside or inside measurements? Assuming outside, will the cooler fit a 12" pail (with some room, so the inside dimensions would need to be > 13")?

The dimensions given are the largest outside dimensions, which includes the handles and lid.

To order a replacement drain plug, please contact our Consumer Services Department by calling toll free 888-895-2110, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday. We accept VISA and MasterCard.

How can I purchase the refillable and refreezable ice pak that screwas into the cover of my ">15 year old Rubbermaid 1848 cooler?

I would like to purchase a new 1848 cooler if the new version still has the same "screw-in refreezeble ice pack. Are they available?

The newer model 1848 cooler is not refreeze capable, however if you have the older version that does accomodate the refreeze bottle, we ask that you contact the Consumer Service Department by calling toll free 888-895-2110, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday to place an order. We accept VISA and MasterCard. It is imperative that you have the older style cooler as all sales are final.
