Questions & Answers for Sip Bottles

Question

I have purchased a few of the plastic blue drinking bottles with the straw that flips up

I am wondering if they are made out of the good type of plastic since they passed the new laws. The number on the bottom is 7F74 14, with a #5 inside the recycle symbol, the second one I have has no number on the bottom and has a #7 inside the recycle bottle. I have a few others too but I may have thrown them out because I was told that they are not up to date with the plastic laws. Could you please let me know which of the bottles are made with the new plastics suitable for consumption? Thanks.

Question

Are replacement straws available for the 20/32 oz Sip bottles?

About 5-6 years ago I purchased several Sipp 'n Sport bottles and a replacement straw order form was included, but through the years I lost the original straws. I now have a 20 oz and a 32 oz Sip bottle, but I would like to know about getting replacement straws for these two bottles.
Thank you for your help.

Question

Bottle cover for Sip Bottle?

I was wondering if you have or know of a cover for this 32 oz Sip Bottle. I absolutely love it and take it everywhere, but the condensation is a problem and drips everywhere as well as making it a challenge to carry around or put into a bag without making everything else wet. Please direct me to the right place or I am happy to help to design one :)

Question

Can I purchase replacement spouts for the sip bottle?

My disabled child uses a sip bottle, but she tends to chew on the spout. I will trim and smooth the spout but eventually it is too short to use. I have gone through about 10 of your sip bottles and have had to throw them out because the spout no longer works.

While there is not a substance that can leach from the container, it is not suggested to pour boiling water into any beverage container or pitcher. The heat can cause the plastic to soften and possibly collapse, resulting in injury.

Question

How to get the air valve to work

When the Sip Bottle (32oz) is used there is a lack of air exchange; therefore you can only get small sips. It appears that the white soft valve does not work as it should. I took the valve out and the slit looks to be fine and it separates. I don't think it does so easily enough for a good air exchange though. I'm hesitant to modify it because I just bought it for yesterday. Any advice on a resolution for this?

To restore proper air intake, remove bottle lid and apply pressure to the white valve button, separating the halves.
