Question

1 gal pitcher purchased in a beverage set upc code says 071691450269

I purchased this rubbermade beverage set a week ago from BJs. Inside it has 2 bpa free water bottles, however my question is about the pitcher. It is pink, but has no markings of it being PBA free. It has a triangle on the bottom with a number 5 inside of it and does not say BPA free. MY question is about the pitcher, is it BPA free? The label on the front of the pitcher has a 2011 rubbermade inc logo on it. This is a 1 gallon pitcher .

BPA is found a plastic called Polycarbonate, indicated by the recycle code #7-OTHER (note that #7 plastic is not always polycarbonate).

The pitchers are made of #5 - Polypropylene plastic, which is BPA free.

Question

Symbols on containers

I purchased two Ice guard Pitchers. They do not have the symbol with NO BPA on them. The lid has symbol with a 2 and the container has symbol with a 5 in the middle and pp underneath. I was wondering how do I know these are BPA free. They look like the ones on your site, with the Red lid. 1 gallon size. Thanks.
