Question
If my closet calls for a 5' shelf and only 4' and 6' lengths are offered how easy is it to cut the shelf to the proper length?
I'm thinking about installing the 16" Freeslide wire shelving system.

I hope you really do install this product. I personally have them in ALL of my closets in my house. It's so convenient..
I bought an 8ft one piece freeslide shelve at home depot and they cut it right on the spot for free. It took them only a couple of minutes to cut the measurements of my closet's. Hope this helps.

My Lowe's will cut the shelving to whatever length I need. Just be sure to put the end caps on to prevent pokes in your fingers when installing the shelves.

When purchasing Rubbermaid Wire Shelving from retailers, most offer a service where they will cut the shelf to your desired length for you. If your local retailer where you purchase the shelving from does not offer this please contact Rubbermaid Consumer Service at 888-895-2110 for futher assistance.

Well, I bought mine @ home depot. I also know that the free slide shelves are sold at lowes as well. Hope this helps..

Depending on the method of install, the Fast Track Uprights are recommended to be installed 24" apart but may be spaced up to a maximum of 36" apart. If you are using Direct Mount Support Braces we recommend back clips every 12" and the support braces at each open end and a maximum of 36" apart.

I have a 16 inch freeslide shelf and the 16 inch bracket does not clip on to the shelf. Should I be using a 12" bracket?
Just purchased parts for three closets and am having a problem to get the proper mount to hang up clothes

What is the weight limit for these shelves?
I'm considering using the FreeSlide shelving in my closets. I especially like the 12" corner shelf, but I'm concerned about how much weight the shelves hold. I can't seem to find a weight rating anywhere.

Question
Do the standard nails/mounting hardware for the freeslide shelves work for the thicker 5/8" drywall or is different hardware required?
The standard drywall thickness is 1/2". We have 5/8" and are concerned that the standard mounting hardware will not be enough to support typical loads.

The hardware provided with the closet products is for 1/2" drywall. For 5/8" drywall, different wall anchors/mollies would need to be purchased through your local hardware store.

Do we have this corner shelf supported right?
We have a 4'x9' walk in closet, and didn't see a closet organizer that wide. We decided to buy two of the 4'-8' closet organizers #the 3D07#. They have the FreeSlide shelving that we like, but we wanted 2 corner shelves so the clothes can continue to slide around. The only problem is that we're now guessing on how to support the corner shelves. The instructions on the corner shelf say to use the back clips, but they are too narrow and don't even reach from the wall to the shelf. So now we tried a bracket and it seems to do the job-see pictures attached. Is this ok? Or do you actually sell a part to support the corner shelf?

We have FreeSlide shelving throughout our home and wish to add a 6' section to match. The color is nickel (silvery gray) in color. I can't find this on your site or in any stores. Can you help?
