Why does the Palmyra scrub brush fall apart?

For the entirety of the thirty minutes that I used this brush on a ceramic-tile floor, it lost bristles. At least 100, in total.

This product should not fall apart when used under normal household circumstances. If your product is falling apart, please contact Rubbermaid Consumer Services at 888-895-2110 Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm ET.
