The straws should fit securely up into the inside hole of the lid, you should not have to do anything else to secure them besides putting the straw into the hole. For assistance with a product problem, please contact Rubbermaid Consumer Services through the contact us portion of our website. You may also call 888-895-2110 to speak to a representative, 8:30 to 5:00 ET, Monday through Friday.

I have been purchasing your sink liners for several years. I use the white ones. After only a few months the become discolored. I have tried soaking them in bleach and scrubbing them with ajax. NOTHING works. Your product is too expensive to throw away or replace every few months. How do you clean them to get them back to white again. I have been very dissappointed in this product.

Question

Primer container storage lids-- Stinky lids

Nice product, however, I had an onion stored in one container. Odor has absorbed into the lid of this container as well as several others.

In other words, the lids smell and seem to easily absorb odors. I have tried running them through the dishwasher, using baking soda and soaking in vinegar to no avail. Lids still stink!! Any suggetions?

Plastics can absorb strong smells, such as onion or garlic when these types of foods are stored for long periods of time. In addition to the methods you have tried, you can also try to crumple up newspaper in the container for a few days. The print is made of activated carton and will absorb odor.

Question

Why are my containers delaminating

I have a couple of sets of the containers with the easy-find lids. We fill them with leftovers in single serving sizes so my husband can take them to work for lunch. He microwaves the food (i.e. gumbo and rice), then enjoys his lunch. But after a few uses (3) they begin peeling on the inside. I'm sure they say they are microwave safe. Is this expected?

Rubbermaid food storage containers can pit or deform when they are exposed to excessive reheating. Bubbling or pitting in the plastic is typically caused by reheating foods high in oil, sugar, fat or tomato content.

You can clean the storage totes using a mild detergent and warm water and allow to air dry outside. Do not use a stiff or abrasive cleaner.

Please note these are not for outdoor use and should not be left outside for longer than a few hours.

To compress the wings of the anchor so that it will fit into the wall, grab the anchor and have the circular head facing you with the anchor wings sticking out to the left and right. Grab the anchor wings with your thumb and index finger and bend the wings down away from the circular head and away from you so that the wings will compress into a point and insert into the wall. Once the anchor is flush into the wall, insert the black Anchor Key to engage the Anchor. This will prevent the piece from pulling out of the wall.

To trouble shoot the issue you are having with your Reveal Mop, please make sure you have diluted the cleaner as instructed. You may also try running hot water over the sprayer to remove any clogs, place hot water in the bottle and place the bottle back on the mop, pumping the trigger until the water sprays freely.

If you continue to experience a problem with your product we ask that you contact Rubbermaid Consumer Service at 888-895-2110 M-F 8:30am-5:00pm ET.

Most of our products are made from polyethylene and polypropylene. One of the features of these plastics is that they are easy to clean because materials do not adhere well to them. You may want to try contacting your local office supply store to see if they have any commercial labels that you can try.

To remove stains, we suggest soaking the stained pieces in a solution of one-tablespoon liquid chlorine bleach per cup of warm water for about 30 minutes. Alternatively, we suggest covering the stain with liquid Palmolive Automatic Dishwasher detergent, allowing it to stand for 30 minutes and then thoroughly rinsing the piece.

We do not recommend the use of any abrasive cleaning pads or cleansers as they would scuff the surfaces and allow stains to penetrate even deeper.
